Study notes for science
States of matter
physics, a state of matter is one of the distinct forms in which matter can exist. Four states of matter are observable in everyday life: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
everything around us that keeps up spaces and has mass is known as matter. This includes the chair i am sitting on.
Matter includes solids liquids and gasses these different forms are called substances and also short know states of matter.
water cycle
The water cycle shows the continuous movement of water within the Earth and atmosphere. It is a complex system that includes many different processes. Liquid water evaporates into water vapor, condenses to form clouds, and precipitates back to earth in the form of rain and snow.
Season
A season is a period of the year that is distinguished by special climate conditions. The four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter—follow one another regularly. Each has its own light, temperature, and weather patterns that repeat yearly. A season is a time of year with typical weather patterns and daylight hours. Other changes occur regularly each year with the seasons.
Densaliation
Desalination is the process by which the dissolved mineral salts in water are removed. Currently, this process, applied too seawater, is one of the most used to obtain fresh water for human consumption or agricultural purposes.
Desalination is the process of removing salts from water and a by-product of the process is toxic brine which can degrade coastal and marine ecosystems unless treated. In most desalination processes, for every litre of potable water produced, about 1.5 litres of liquid polluted with chlorine and copper are created.
