Least Squares Regression Line (LSRL)

The line that minimizes the sum of the squares of the vertical distances of the points from the line

Slope (β₁)

In the context of regression, it represents the estimated change in the response variable for a one-unit change in the explanatory variable

Intercept (β₀)

The expected value of the response variable when the explanatory variable is zero

Standard Error of the Slope

An estimate of the variability of the slope estimate from sample to sample

t-Test for Slope

A statistical test to determine whether the slope of the regression line is significantly different from zero

Confidence Interval for Slope

A range of values that is likely to contain the true slope of the population regression line

Linearity, independence, normality, and equal variance (homoscedasticity) of residuals
