Appendicitis

Appendicitis

Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix, a small organ in the lower right abdomen. It causes abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. If not treated, it can lead to appendicular rupture. The usual treatment is surgical removal, called appendectomy.

Arthralgia

Arthralgia is the medical term used to describe joint pain. It refers to the discomfort or pain experienced in one or more joints of the body.

Anteriosclerosis

Atherosclerosis is the correct term for the buildup of plaque in arteries, causing narrowing and reduced blood flow.

Colostomy

A colostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the abdominal wall to divert a portion of the colon to the skin surface. Waste exits the body through this opening, called a stoma.

Diagnosis

A diagnosis is the identification of a disease or condition based on symptoms, medical history, and tests. It involves analyzing information to reach a conclusion about the specific ailment or disorder.
