What was the aim of the Yalta Conference?
To decide what to do with Germany after the war ended.
What was decided about Germany?
Germany would be divided into 4 zones, each controlled by Britain, France, the USA and the USSR.
Berlin would also be divided into 4 zones.
What were the other outcomes of Yalta?
All countries freed from Nazi control would be guaranteed the right to hold democratic elections to choose their own governments.
Stalin committed to joining the war against Japan once Germany had been defeated.
All the leaders made a commitment to pursue and put on trial suspected war criminals
