At Makanify, we’re a general partnership, bringing together a team of diverse expertise. Fatima, our operations director, ensures smooth daily operations; Sofia, our marketing director, leads our brand and marketing efforts; Snubs, is our finance director; Sivaneshwarri leads our product development to guarantee top-notch quality; and lastly Maxim drives our sales and partnership initiatives. Together, we aim to revolutionize how we dine while taking significant strides toward a greener, eco-friendly future.

Problem and solution

Plastic waste, particularly from single-use cutlery, is a growing global crisis especially here in Malaysia. Every day, disposable utensils end up in landfills and oceans, contributing to environmental destruction. Research even shows that Malaysia generates over 148,000 metric tons of plastic waste annually, much of it from disposable cutlery. 

At Makanify, we saw an opportunity to turn this problem on its head. Imagine a utensil that not only performs its function but can also be eaten, and naturally decompose without harming our environment. Our solution is to replace plastic cutlery with our edible, biodegradable alternatives. Our innovation not only tackles this plastic waste issue but also transforms waste into a valuable resource, creating a win-win situation for both the environment and our consumers. Overall Makanify provides a sustainable, guilt-free dining experience that actively reduces the plastic pollution.
