6 Ethical Principles
Informed consent, voluntary participation, protection from harm, privacy, withdrawal and debriefing.
Independant variable
What we change - e.g adding music while memorising words
Dependant variable
What we measure - the difference in amount of words memorised between a controlled group and one that had music.
Confounding variables
External, uncontrolled variables that can alter the reasoning of experiment
Extraneous variable
Internal- usually affects 1 person (individual differences) that affect the result
