To a LPN/LVN and a UAP. Remember you Delgate Down and Assign Across.
Does a RN delegate to a physical therapist, respiratory therapist, or social worker?
No, RN’s refer to or collaborate w/ these other professionals.
Can the RN delegate starting an IV to a LPN?
No
Can a RN delegate administrating a blood transfusion to a LPN?

NO. But the LPN can REINFORCE or REVIEW teaching the RN has already performed.

Charting about the patient (they can document what they did), medication administration (except for topical skin lotions), assessments (except VS on STABLE patients), & treatments (except non-sterile at home).
Which of these could not be delegated to an UAP performing patient care on a stable patient in their home?: Trach suctioning, wound dressing change, administrating a tube feeding, straight catheterization of the bladder, changing a central line.
Changing central line dressing is RN ONLY. The other 4 are NON-STERILE in the home therefore can be performed by an UAP.
