Stars and Galaxy

Irregular galaxies

oddly shaped galaxy's and contains list of gas and dust. They exhibit the highest formation of any galaxy. They have many young stars and don’t have bright centers.

Elliptical galaxies

Shaped like basketballs they contain older stars have little gas and dust. Since stars contain gas and dust they have few young stars.

Spiral Galaxies

Shaped like disks. they contain dust and gas and young stars in their bluish arms. Older stars are in there central bulges. Spiral galaxies are surrounded by spherical halos containing older stars.
