Hierarchy of Needs (Maslow)
A motivational theory that states employees are motivated by fulfilling needs arranged in a hierarchy, from basic physiological needs to self-actualization.
Goal Setting Theory (Locke and Latham)
A theory stating employees are motivated by clear, specific, and challenging goals, along with appropriate feedback.
Four Drive Theory (Lawrence and Nohria)
A motivational theory proposing that four drives (to acquire, bond, learn, and defend) work simultaneously to affect behavior.

Dispute Resolution
The process of resolving conflicts between employers and employees, which may involve mediation or arbitration.
Mediation
An informal dispute resolution method involving a third party to facilitate negotiations without making binding decisions.
Arbitration
A formal dispute resolution process where an independent tribunal makes a legally binding decision.
