First amendment

Guaranteed freedom of speech religion, the price assembly and petition

Second amendment

Protects the right to bare arms

Third amendment

No quartering of soldiers

Fourth amendment

Protects the people from unreasonable, searches, and seizures

Fifth amendment

Protects people from being held for committing a crime unless they are properly indicted (accused)

Sixth amendment

Speedy trial a trial by Jury (can’t be kept in jail for over a year without trial) (criminal)

Seventh amendment

Citizens guaranteed to a trial by jury. Guarantees a public speedy trial. Lawsuit is more than $20. (Civil)

Eighth amendment

No excessive bill or cruel and unusual punishment guarantees that punishments will not be fair and not cruel and not have a large fine that’s set

Ninth amendment

All rights not stated in the constitution, and not forbidden by the constitution belong to the people

10th amendment

Any power not guaranteed to the federal government belongs to the states or to the people
