baryon
A baryon is made up of 3 quarks
What is antimatter?
Antimatter consists of particles that have the opposite charge and quantum number. All particles have their antimatter equivalent with opposite properties.
Annihilation
When a particle interacts with its antiparticle it will annihilate. meaning that it will disappear or be converted to energy. (electromagnetic radiation)
Leptons
low, mass elementary particles (n ot made of any other particles). Example electrons/electron neutrino.
Hadrons
Any high mass particle consists that of quarks.
Mesons
A quark and anti quark pair.
Are quarks ever seen in isolation?
No, they are never seen in isolation. (they are connected by gluons).
