what is resistivity
the property of a material related to its resistance. It is equivalent to the resistance in 1m of a wire of a certain material with cross-sectional area of 1 m2.
resistivity equation & explination
R=ρL / A
Where R is the resistance, A is the cross-sectional area of the wire and L is its length.

when ρ and A are constant, what would happen to R if you doubled L
R would also double as they are directly proportional
When ρ and L are constant, R and ρ are
inversely proportional; doubling A will halve R.
A=πd2/ 4
doubling d will increase the area by a factor by 4. Therefore, R will decrease by a factor of 4.
