Bootstrap Method

A resampling technique used to estimate the sampling distribution of a statistic by repeatedly drawing samples from the original sample (with replacement).

Sampling Distribution

Distribution of a statistic across repeated samples

Central Limit Theorem

Sample means approximate a normal distribution for large 𝑛

Standard Error

the standard deviation of its sampling distribution or an estimate of that standard deviation

Normal Approximation

Used for binomial distributions when 𝑛𝑝 and 𝑛(1 - 𝑝) are sufficiently large
