Hippocampus
Involved in the processing and retrieval of memory, connecting emotions and perceptions of memories.

Traumatic events are more memorable.
What are the effects of damage to the hippocampus?
Amnesia, including retrograde and anterograde amnesia.
Amygdala
Responsible for emotional responses, aggression, and fear conditioning.
