A rest that lasts 1 beats in common time.
Eighth Rest
A note that lasts 1/2 a beat of silence.
Sixteenth Rest
A rest that lasts a 1/4 of a beat in common time

the round part of the note that could be filled in or not filled in

The verticle line that comes off of the note head

The curved line that comes of a stem.
Beam
A horozontal line that comets 2 or more stems on eighth notes and notes smaller than eighth notes.

Symbols that alter the sound of the note that makes it outside the key signature.
Sharp
A symbol that raises the pitch a half step
Flat
A symbol that lowers the pitch a half step.
Natural
A symbol that cancels a sharp or flat
Key Signature
Symbols at the beginning of the song that tells you what notes are sharp or flat.
Time Signature
A symbol at the beginning of the song that tells us how many beats per measure and what notes is equal to a beat.
Half Note
A note that asts 2 betas in common time.
Quarter Note
A note that lasts one beat in common time.
Eighth Note
A note that lasts 1/2 a beat in common time.
Sixteenth Note
A note that lasts ¼ a beat in common time.
Measure
A grouping of beats in music.

Cord comprised of three notes.
