What is a preposition?

What is a conjunction?
A conjunction is a part of speech that connects words, phrases, or clauses, showing how they relate to each other in a sentence.
What is an interjection?
An interjection is a part of speech that expresses strong emotion or sudden burst of feeling and is often punctuated with an exclamation point. It serves as an expressive word or phrase that interrupts the flow of a sentence.
Highlighting part of speech in the paragraph
Highlight one example of each part of speech in the paragraph below. In parentheses next to the word, write the name of the part of speech. The dog wagged his tail as he ran across the yard, chasing a bright red ball. Wow, the sunlight made his fur shine like gold. He barked excitedly, kicking up bits of grass behind him. What is onomatopoeia?
A word formed from a sound (buzz, crash).
What is a pun?
A joke using different meanings of the same word.
What is an oxymoron?
Two contradictory terms put together (jumbo shrimp).
What is foreshadowing?
A hint or clue about a future event.

Identify the verb:

Identify the adjective:

Identify the preposition:

Identify the conjunction:

Identify the interjection:
