Algebra
A branch of mathematics dealing with symbols and the rules for manipulating those symbols.
Factor
A number that divides another number without leaving a remainder.
Prime Number
A natural number greater than 1 that cannot be formed by multiplying two smaller natural numbers.
Percentage
A way of expressing a number as a fraction of 100.
Ratio
A relationship between two numbers indicating how many times the first number contains the second.
Sum of Angles
The total measure of the angles in a polygon, for a rectangle it equals 360 degrees.
Prism
A solid geometric figure with two identical ends and flat faces.
Lorry
A large vehicle for transporting goods.
Digits
The symbols used to represent numbers, from 0 to 9.
Perimeter
The total distance around the edge of a polygon.
Volume
The amount of space that a substance or object occupies.
Common Factor
A number that is a factor of two or more numbers.
Sequence
An ordered list of numbers following a particular pattern.
Rounding
The process of reducing the digits in a number while trying to keep its value close to what it was.
Distance
The amount of space between two points.
