Standing upright, facing forward, feet parallel, palms facing forward
Fundamental Position
Same as anatomical position but arms at sides and palms facing body
Mid-Axillary Line
Vertical line through the middle of the armpit
Mid-Sternal Line
Vertical line through the middle of the sternum
Anterior Axillary Line
Line parallel to mid-axillary line through front armpit fold
Posterior Axillary Line
Line parallel to mid-axillary line through back armpit fold
Mid-Clavicular Line
Vertical line through midpoint of clavicle
