Kinds of abortion

Spontaneous natural abortion

Occurs without any forms of inducement or intervention.

Induced abortion

Abortion which will not take place had it not been for some form of inducement of intervention.

Therapeutic Abortion

Purposely done to preserve the life of the mother.

Criminal Abortion

Done without any therapeutic indication but with criminal intent and is

punishable by law.

That the evil sought to be avoided exists

That the injury feared be greater than that done to avoid it

That there be no other practical and less harmful means of preventing it
