A place where love and respectful relationships can be formed. The bible shows the model family consisting of a mother, a father and children. Moreover, the bible teaches that the family should provide a place for the nurture and disciplining of children

What does the church of England teach about marriage

They teach that a couple should learn to love one another over the course of their lives together. A christian' marriage should reflect Christ’s love for the church

Marriage in the catholic church

The catholic church teaches that the act of marriage creates a unique and unbreakable bond between the couple and it can’t be dissolved. As a sacrament, marriage brings God’s grace to the couple in a unique way.

Service in Catholic and orthodox churches

They belief marriage is a sacrament, the catholic church requires the couple to both be baptised in order for the marriage to be considered sacramental. The couple may bring bread an wine to the altar. A personal blessing will often be said for the bride and the groom by the priest as part of the mass

Quaker Marriage service

The belief is that only God can join the couple together. The couple will sit silent in worship and wait until they worship and wait until they feel it’s right to say there vows

Non-conformist marriage service

The bride and groom can write their own vows, Rather then following vows set by the church. This gives more emphasis on the couple saying things to God

They will welcome them to marry whether or not baptised or christian

Became legal 2005, unlike in a marriage the signing of the legal document does not need to happen in public but the couple may still choose to have a ceremony

The upbringing of children

Christians also aim to bring their children up with a knowledge and understanding of christian faith. Some do infant baptism

Amish community

Children have far more structured upbringings. The communities provide schooling which ends at 14. Then they are taught practical skills on the job. This may farming for boys and work in the home for girls. In the Amish family men are in control. At 16 children are allowed ti live outside the community for a year

Means that no one should be advantages or privileged because of these difference
