Limiting Reagent
The reactant that runs out first in a chemical reaction.
Theoretical Yield
The amount of product formed assuming complete reaction of the limiting reagent.
Actual Yield
The amount of product actually formed in a chemical reaction.
Percent Yield
The percent of the theoretical yield that is actually obtained from a chemical reaction.
Mole Ratio
The ratio between the amounts in moles of any two compounds involved in a chemical reaction.
Excess Reactant
The reactant that is not completely consumed in a chemical reaction.
Complete Reaction
When all of the limiting reagent is consumed in a chemical reaction.
Mass-to-Mole Conversion
The process of converting mass of a substance to moles using its molar mass.
