Radicand

The number found inside a radical symbol, and it's the number you want to find the root of.

Multiplicity

how many times a specific value makes a polynomial equation equal to zero. 

Relative Minimum

a point where the function's value is smaller than the values of nearby points. It's essentially a "valley" in the function's graph. 

Relative Maximum

a point on a function's graph where the function's value is greater than or equal to the values of nearby points.

End Behavior

The trend of a function's graph as it extends to the far left (negative infinity) and far right (positive infinity) of the coordinate plane

Index

the power or exponent which is raised to a number or a variable.

Degree of what a polynomial is

the highest or the greatest power of a variable in a polynomial equation.
