Narrative
The telling of a story or an account of an event or series of events, by leaving certain facts out to highlight a certain point of view.
Refugee
Have permission to move to a country before they leave. People who are forced to migrate from their home country and cannot return for fear of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, membership in a social group, or political opinion.

State Action means government power in action, and it’s important because it affects our rights and how we are treated in our country.
Rostow's Stages of Economic Growth
All countries develop in a five-stage process. Development cycle initiated by investment in a takeoff industry that allows the country to grow a comparative advantage, sparks greater economic gain that eventually diffuses throughout the country's economy.

Favors social programs and government solutions. , A person whose views favor more gov't involvement in business, social welfare, minority rights, & increased gov't spending.

Unlimited government
A government in which no limits are imposed on the ruler's authority. The leaders don't have to follow the same laws as everyone else.

Physical force means using strength, tools, or weapons to control people or make them do something. This could be something like police using handcuffs or a country using an army to protect itself.

Wealth means having extra resources, and it’s powerful because it gives people more choices and the ability to help shape the world.

Theory that explains the power countries have as core, periphery, and semi periphery countries in terms of economic and political connections. Core=power (wealthy), Semi-periphery=some power, and Periphery=little/no power (poor)
