Lighting Designer
Person responsible for the design, installation, and, occasionally, the operation of the lighting and special electrical effects associated with lighting used in the production.
Assistant TO THE Lighting Designer
Provides general assistance to the LD. May or may not be present at the venue of the production.
Assistant Lighting Designer
Provides "design based"assistance to the LD. May draw any and all of the paperwork on the design or installation as requested by the LD.
Associate Lighting Designer
Performs all of the duties of the LD while under the artistic direction of a more senior designer.
Programmer
configures the control systems that determine how conventional and/or moving lights function during the run of a show.
Master Electrician
Person who is directly responsible for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of all lighting equipment and the supervision of the crews who hang, focus, and run the lighting equipment during the production.
