Aspirin indications

For EMS providers, typical nitroglycerin indications include chest pain or discomfort associated with angina pectoris or suspected acute myocardial infarction, as well as pulmonary edema with hypertension

Nitroglycerin indications

indicated for the complete or partial reversal of opiate narcotic depression and respiratory depression secondary to opiate narcotics or related drugs: Morphine, Methadone, Codeine, Percodan, Fentanyl, heroin

Narcan indications

For treatment of some drug overdoses and poisonings

Albuterol action

After absorption from GI tract, glucose is distributed in the tissues and provides a prompt increase in circulating blood sugar

Oral Glucose action

Causes Blood Sugar to Increase by acting on Liver Glycogen, converting it into Glucose, Only Works if Patient has adequate Glycogen reserves

Glucagon action

Epinephrine is a sympathomimetic, which stimulates both alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors causing immediate bronchodilation, increase in heart rate and an increase in the force of cardiac contraction (auto)

Epi Pen action

Vasoconstriction, Bronchodilation, Increased HR & BP

Platelet Aggregator Inhibitor, Anti-Inflammatory Agent

Aspirin action

Nitroglycerin is a vasodilator that has an especially strong effect on vascular smooth muscle found in peripheral veins. Arterial vasodilation may also occur at higher doses of nitroglycerin.

Nitroglycerin action

Naloxone antagonizes the effects of opiates by competing at same receptor sites

Narcan action

Absorbs certain drugs & poisons but is itself, non-absorbable

Narcan effects

CNS: Tremor, agitation, belligerence, papillary dilation, seizures, increased tear production, sweating, seizures secondary to withdrawal

Activated Charcoal effects

Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation
