What is the 3 tenets of cell theory?

1. All organisms are composed of one or more cells

2. Cells are the smallest living units of all organisms

3. Cells arise only by division of a previous existing cell

What are the 3 domains of life?

Eukaryotes, archaea and bacteria

Describe 4 differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes

Prokaryotes: Archaea and bacteria, cells lack a nucleus and organelles, unicellular, circular chromosomes

Eukaryotes: Animals, plants, fungi and protists, have a nucleus and organelles, can be multicellular, linear chromosomes.

What are the different types of microscopy?

Light microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy (transmission and scanning electron microscopy).
