Dart Trajectory
The trajectory of any given dart depends upon two things: one is the weight of the dart. The other is the force with which id thrown. Generally, lighter darts will require a harder throwing force to minimize the amount of the arc. Because light darts have little momentum, they will therefore have to be thrown harder. Conversely, heavier darts do not require much force. Their higher mass means more momentum and therefore a straighter path is seen. The "P" factor wil cause a more noticeable or eliminated altogether.

Lighter Darts
This type if dart will require a harder throwing force to minimize the amount of the arc. Because they have little momentum, they will therefore have to be thrown harder.
Heavier Darts
They do not require much force. Their higher mass means more momentum and therefore a straighter path is seen. The "P" factor wil cause a more noticeable or eliminated altogether.
