What is homeostasis?
Homeostasis is the ability or tendency of an organism or cell to maintain internal equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes.
What are the main components of a homeostatic control system?
The main components are: Receptor, Control Center, and Effector.
What is the role of a Receptor in homeostasis?
A receptor detects changes in the internal or external environment (stimuli) and sends information to the control center.
What is the role of a Control Center in homeostasis?
The control center receives information from the receptor, processes it, and sends commands to the effector to respond to the change.
What is the role of an Effector in homeostasis?
An effector carries out the response commanded by the control center to restore the body
