A schedule to work from is important to meet deadlines.

British Board of Film Classification
The body that regulates the content of cinema, films, videos and DVDs.
Trolling
Is where someone posts or comments online to deliberately cause upset to others
Libel
A false statement made against a person that has been published
Slander
A false statement that is merely spoken.
Incitement
The action of provoking unlawful behaviour or encouraging someone to behave in a way that is against the law.
Implicit
These will be inferred from the brief. You have to interpret what is said.
Explicit
These are clearly stated in the client brief.
Open
There is some freedom for you to make decisions about how best to create a media product.
Constraints
These are boundaries that could impact the project (e.g. legal, ethical, time and cost)
Socio-economic
A measure of somebody’s disposable income.
Psychographics
Opinions, attitudes, lifestyles and interests.
Geodemographics
Location of target audience
Relevant Content
Information that is related to the product being created in terms of content/product
Annotations that Justify Decisions
The use of nodes and sub-nodes will provide more detail about the ideas and helps to justify them.
Fit for Purpose
Topics for questions relate to the brief and audience and the draft can be followed easily. Does it look like a mind map?
Blue Sky Thinking
Thoughts and ideas are shared and none of them are discounted or criticised at this stage
SWOT Analysis
Strengths – of an idea/concept, Weaknesses – of an idea/concept, Opportunities – where could there be room for growth/development, Threats – what could put the project at risk/put the company at risk?
Production Schedules
individual target setting, staff equipment and location, team meeitngs, meetings with the client
Dependencies
This is when a task becomes a pre-requisite and has to be completed before moving onto the next task.
Milestones
Checkpoints can be embedded into tasks and can act as significant moments in the project. It’s a good way to tracking performance against a deadline.
Contingencies
A back-up resource such as allocating extra time to allocate a task in case there is a significant change in events that means the task may not be done by the original deadline.
Call Sheet
A call sheet is used to ensure that on each day everyone involved in production process knows what is happening and what their role is.
Audience research
ensure that the product targets the correct audience.
Market Research
is conducted to assess the competition (are there any similar products?)
Production Research
collection of source material that can be used in the creation of the media product.
Proposal
is a formal written plan designed to sell the idea of a new media product to a client.
Project Outline
an initial document that provides the team with necessary detail to move forward with the project.
