Executive Producer
It is the person who finds and secures funding for a film project, whether through a studio, an independent finance business or by self-financing.
Film Producer
They are responsible for finding and launching projects, arranging finance, hiring writers, a director, and a creative team, and supervising all pre-production, production, and postproduction events until film release.
Line Producer
They oversee all logistics and operations for a film, and they’re considered the head of any production.
Location Manager
They serve as a liaison between the producer or director and the property owner by taking responsibility for all aspects of a filming location – from securing permits to managing on-site operations.
Production Manager
They are responsible for budgets, shooting schedules, and managing the day-to-day business side of a production.
1st Assistant Director
They manage the schedule and coordinate cast and crew to ensure that shoots run smoothly. Their work considers the project’s budget, the time required, cast and crew availability, and location limitations.
2nd Assistant Director
They help the first assistant director on a film set.
Photography
They shape how a film or television series looks. They manage the camera and lighting crews.
Assistant Camera
They work under the cinematographer or director of photography. A person in this role will recommend cameras, lenses, and other support gear. They run the camera department and also keep the camera in focus.
Graffer
They head of the electrical department and the chief lighting technician on set. They run a team of lighting technicians to execute a production’s lighting plan.
Best Boy Electric
They serve as the second-in-command to the gaffer. They perform tasks like managing lighting inventory and unloading electrical equipment.
Clapper Loader
They have various tasks including: making sure the slate, or clapper, is in the best spot for the camera, loading raw film stock into camera magazines, marking actors as necessary, and maintaining all records and paperwork for the camera department.
Key Grip
It is the person who runs the grip crew during the production of a film or television series.
Best Boy Grip
They are the right-hand person to the key grip, who oversees the camera grip crew. They assist with camera support, such as placing dolly tracks or organizing camera accessories.
Sound Designer
Itis the art of creating the audio for film, television,
advertising, music, and other productions.
Sound Recorder
They work intimately, fitting personal mics and monitoring the sound output on all on-screen talent and contributors. They communicate with all members of the production and crew, especially camera operators and directors.
Boom Operator
They hold and operates the microphone. They are responsible for capturing the actors’ dialogue and other sounds on the set.
Production Designer
They are responsible for overseeing the overall look and feel of a production, working with a team that creates the props, graphics, and sets, and managing the department that scouts filming or production locations.
Art Director
They are responsible for making sure that everything looks like it belongs in the film’s universe. They work with the director and production designer to help bring those ideas to life.
Costume Designer
They are responsible for designing the clothes and accessories actors wear and works with directors, production designers, and art directors.
Prop Master
They make sure that actors have the right props when they need them while staying within budget.
Make Up Artist
It is somebody who applies makeup to performers on set.
Film Editor
It is a technical professional who removes unnecessary footage and assembles the remaining pieces together to make finished works.
