Aneurysm

Arteriosclerosis

a condition characterized by thickening and toughening of arterial walls

Atherosclerosis

the build up of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in and on the artery wall

Edema

swelling caused by to much fluid trapped in the bodys tissues

Hypertension

when the pressure in your blood vessel is too high

Hypotension

low blood pressure occurs when blood pressure is much lower than normal. means heart and brain and other parts of body may not be getting enough blood

Orthostatic hypertension

a form of low blood pressure that happens when standing up from sitting/lying down

Phlebitis

inflammation of a vein near the surface of the skin

Pulmonary embolism

a sudden blockage in your pulmonary arteries, the blood vessels that send blood to your lungs

Shock

a life threatening condition that occurs when the body is not getting enough blood flow
