What is the area between the lungs called, and what does it contain?
The area between the lungs is the mediastinum, it contains the heart and its veins and arteries, esophagus, trachea, bronchi, thymus gland and lymph nodes
What type of system is the mediastinum and what does it do?
This is one of the descriptive systems which divide the abdomen and lower portion of the thorax into nine parts

Label each region on the body from 1-9 starting right to left (note: remember follow the examples right and left, not your own)
