Group 1 and group 2 hydroxides
Calculating pH of strong acids:
Concentration of acid is concentration of H⁺, then use -log(H⁺)=pH
Calculating pH of strong bases:
Multiply the concentration of the base by the subscript of the hydroxide to find the OH⁻ concentration, then use then use -log(OH⁻)=pOH, pOH + pH = 14 :)
Calculating pH of weak acids and bases:
