Small images on the desktop that act as shortcuts for programs, folders, or files.

We can use built-in backgrounds or a personal image as the desktop background.

Start button
Located on the bottom-left corner of the taskbar.
Start Button
Opens the Start menu to access installed programs.
Start menu
Menu that appears when the Start button is clicked, listing installed programs.
Search Box
Used to find programs, folders, or files by typing a keyword and pressing Enter.
Cortana search bar
Search interface beside the Quick Launch bar.
Quick Launch bar
It provides a quick way to start a program with a single click.
Taskbar
Horizontal rectangular bar along the bottom of the screen where apps can be pinned for quick access and switching.
Notification Area
Right side of the taskbar containing icons for battery, volume, network, antivirus, and date/time.
