how can we set up this practical
get hydrochloric acid and pout it in flask, and get calcium carbonate and put it into the flask. Put the bung in the tip of the flask and time the amount of gas produced after every 10 seconds.
what does this practical show about the surface area (and why)
more surface area = faster rate of reaction becuase there are more exposed particals, meaning more frequent collisions and hitting activating energy more quickly therefore faster rate of reaction.
define tangent
line that just touches the curve of a line.
how to calcualte the gradient of tangent
change volume in gas / change in time
(change in y / change in x)
