What is cancer?

Example: A group of bad cells growing and spreading inside the body.

What is brain cancer?
Brain cancer is when bad cells grow in the brain and stop it from working well.
Example: A person may forget things or have trouble moving.

What are symptoms of brain cancer?
Headaches, memory problems, trouble seeing, and difficulty moving.
Example: Someone has strong headaches every day and feels dizzy.

What is blood cancer?
Blood cancer is when bad cells affect the blood and stop it from working properly.
Example: The body cannot fight infections well.

Types of blood cancer
Leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
Example: Leukemia affects white blood cells.

What are symptoms of blood cancer?
Feeling very tired, getting sick often, easy bruising, and weight loss.
Example: A person gets sick many times and feels weak.

Cough that does not go away, chest pain, trouble breathing, and coughing blood.

Cancer can be caused by bad habits or things in the environment.

Doctors can treat cancer using medicine, surgery, or special rays.
Example: A doctor removes the bad cells with surgery.
