Satire

(lack of ethics, morality) in order to reform it by laughing at it, for the purpose of improving society or humanity in general.

Theodicy

the question of why evil exists in the world, if God is all-good and all-powerful and all-knowing.

Picaresque narrative

ells the story of a rogue-like character who sets out on a number of adventures that bring them into contact with a wide variety of people and situations.

Eldorado or El Dorado

Through the centuries, the lust for gold and riches gave rise to the enduring tale of a city of gold.

Understatement

a statement that describes something in a way that makes it seem less important, serious, bad, etc. than it really is, or the act of making such statements.
