Show a simple food chain
Grass eaten by rabbits, rabbits eaten by foxes.
The grass is a producer, every food chain starts with one
Why are producers important / what is biomass.
They synthesise complex molecules, plants make glucose by photosynthesis, to do this they use energy from sunlight. molecules such as glucose can be called biomass, and these molecules now pass down the food chain to other organisms.
Producers are source of all biomass in community, they are most important.
What are primary consumers and secondary consumer
They eat the producers, the secondary consumer eats primary.
