Ebers Papyrus
An ancient Egyptian medical text written around 1550 BCE that lists 700 cures for common illnesses.
Sarcophagus
An elaborate coffin in which mummies of important people were placed, often decorated with portraits.
Mummy
A preserved body of a deceased person, created by the ancient Egyptians through embalming processes.
Pharaoh
A title for ancient Egyptian rulers, considered gods in human form.
Amon-Re
A combination of the Egyptian gods Amon and Re, regarded as the king of the gods.
Demotic script
A simplified form of Egyptian writing used for ordinary documents, developed around 700 BCE.
Papyrus
An early form of paper made from the papyrus plant, used by ancient Egyptians for writing.
Valley of the Kings
A burial site for pharaohs and powerful nobles in ancient Egypt, famous for its elaborate tombs.
