Neoadjuvant
Treatment given before the main treatment to shrink the tumor.
Adjuvant
Treatment given after the main treatment to decrease the chance of cancer returning.
Dual Modality
The use of two treatments together, enhancing each other's effects.
Hormone Therapy
Treatment that blocks hormones or lowers estrogen levels to slow tumor growth.
Sentinel Node Assessment
A procedure to identify the first lymph node that cancer cells are likely to spread to.
Anthracyclines
A class of chemotherapy drugs that interfere with DNA replication in cancer cells.
Brachytherapy
A type of radiation therapy where radioactive seeds are implanted directly into or near the tumor.
Lymphedema
Swelling due to the lymphatic system's failure to adequately drain lymph fluid.
Targeted Therapy
Treatment that targets specific markers or pathways in cancer cells.
Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
The inability to get or maintain an erection.
Urinary Incontinence
The inability to control urination.
Immunotherapy
Treatment that boosts the body's natural defenses to fight cancer.
Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD)
A condition that occurs when donor immune cells attack the recipient's body.
Chemotherapy
A drug treatment that uses powerful chemicals to kill fast-growing cells in the body.

Unintended symptoms or complications caused by medical treatment.
