Beatitude

Supreme happiness; blessedness.

Perfect Happiness

Consists in perfect communion with God in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Poor in Spirit

Those who are humble and recognize their absolute dependence upon God.

The Meek

Those who are mild, gentle, and possess self-mastery.

Those who Mourn

Those who suffer affliction and grieve over sins with love.

Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness

Having a deep desire to do God's will.

Pure in Heart

Those who are single-hearted in seeking God, love all that is good and noble.

The Merciful

Those who forgive the faults of others and seek to re-establish relationships.

Peacemakers

Mediators who properly order their passions.

Persecuted for Righteousness' Sake

Those willing to live the way of the Beatitudes, laying down one’s life as happiness doesn’t happen without the Cross.

In what does Perfection consist?

The perfection of charity (love).

First Commandment

To love God with our whole being.

Second Commandment

To love your neighbor as yourself.

Good Samaritan

Represents God or Jesus.
