Boarding A Ship

1. Walk halfway up gangway, salute ensign to the stern (front)

2. Greet Officer on deck, say “(Proper greeting of the day), Midshipman ___ requesting permission to come on board.”

3. Show Military ID and proceed

Leaving a Ship

1. Walk up to officer of the deck saying “(Greeting of the day) Midshipmen ___ requesting permission to go ashore.”

2. Walk halfway down gangway, salute ensign.
