genetic info located in the nucleus in an uncondensed form

Chromosome

DNA in a compact (condensed) form made out of 2 sister chromatids, this form is only present during cell division, otherwise info is uncondensed in the nucleus

Chromatid

a condensed strand of DNA that comes from either mother or father (half of the chromosome)
