Powerhouse of the cell , creates energy through cellular respiration
Mitochondria

found only in plant cells, bacteria and fungi. A tough structure that surrounds the cell membrane. Provides structure, support and protection for the cell
Cell wall

Controls movement in and outside of the cell. Holds the cell together
cell membrane

nucleus
contains DNA and controls all cell activities
Chloroplast
location of photosynthesis and found only in plant cells

Ribosome
site of protein synthesis. Some are attached to the ER, some float around the cytoplasm

Vacuole
Fluid filled space. Temporary stores sugar, minerals and proteins. Someone waste aswell

cytoplasm
A jellylike substance which contains organelles, water and other life supporting materials.

(ER) endoplasmic reticulum
Series of canals that transport materials, particularly protein

Vesicle
carries protein, nutrients, and water in, out and around the cell.
A fluid filled space that takes up a large portion of a plant cell. Contains water, sugar, minerals and protein. Found only in plant cells
Central vacuole
Sorts and packages proteins into vesicles into vesicles which travels within and outside the cell
Golgi body

Lysosome
Contains digestive enzymes. Breaks down large molecules and destroys bacteria and injured cell parts. Found only in animal cells
