One-to-one function

each element of the range is paired with exactly one element of the domain

Horizontal line test

if you can draw a horizontal line anywhere on a graph to intersect more than one point it’s not one-to-one

Discrete function

a graph that is not connected

Continuous function

a graph that can be drawn without picking up your pencil

Vertical line test

if you can draw a vertical line everywhere on a graph to intersect more than one point it is not a function
