Song Dynasty
Chinese dynasty from 960-1279 known for filial piety, Neo-Confucianism, Buddhism, expansion of the Grand Canal, heavy use of champa rice, steel and porcelain exports, artisans making porcelain, and use of paper money.
Crusades
A series of 'holy wars' from 1095-1492 where Christians tried to take back Muslim land.
Delhi Sultanate
A Sultanate existing from 1206-1526, mostly Turkish people who had converted to Islam outside of the caliphate, and saw some blending of Hindu and Islamic traditions.
Genghis Khan
Ruler from 1206-1227.
Magna Carta
Signed in 1215 and guaranteed citizens the right to a fair trial.
Mongol sack of Baghdad
Occurred in 1258, marking the end of the Abbasid Caliphate.
Marco Polo's travels
Occurred from 1271-1295.
Pax Mongolica
Peak of Mongol rule and the Silk Roads in 1279.
Yuan Dynasty in China
Mongol rule in China from 1279-1368, which practiced religious tolerance and supported traditional Chinese arts.
