N: Lammkoteletts habe ich heute leider nicht. Möchten Sie vielleicht Schweinekoteletts? Sie sind ganz mager.

N: Lamb chops, have I today unfoortunately not. Would like you perhaps pork chops? They are qute lean,

A: Nein danke, aber ich möchte gern ein Rinderfillet.

A: No thank you, but I would like gladly a beef fillet.

N: Wie wär es mit diesem hier? Es wiegt etwas über zwei Kilos.

N: How is it with this one here? It weighs something over two kilos.

A: Das ist etwas zu viel. Geben Sie mir bitte die Hälfte davon.

A: That is somehwat too much. Give you me please the half thereof

N: Ist recht. Und sonst noch einen Wunsch?

N: Is right. [And otherwise still a wish?]

[Would you like anything else?]

A: Ja, bitte. Noch 300 Gramm Aufschnitt und ein halbes Pfund Schwarzwälder Schinken. Das ist dann alles.

A: Yes, please. Still 300 grams [cold cuts] and a half pound Black Forest ham. That is then all.

N: So, das macht dann zusammen [vier-und-fünfzig Mark fünf-und-siebzig]. Bezahlen Sie bitte da vorne an der Kasse.
