When does translation begin?

When mRNA molecule attaches itself to a ribosome

What does the ribosome act as?

Acts as framework moving along mRNA reading the code

What does mRNA contain?

Triplet codes or codons -> Each codon codes for a different amino acid

What does tRNA do?

tRNA attach to specific amino acid molecules and carry them to the mRNA molecule

What happens when complimentary anticodon - codon bases align?

They are held together by the ribosome at an attachment site -> codon anticodon complex is formed

When is a codon anticodon complex formed?

When complimentary anticodon - codon bases align

What forms between adjacent amino acids?

Peptide bonds by condensation reaction

What do peptide bonds join?

Join adjacent amino acids

When does the process stop?

Process repeats until ribosome reaches stop codon
