Rate of heat transfer per unit area. It describes how much heat energy passes through a surface over a given time

Heat transfer through one exit point out of the building

Parallel Path

Heat transfer through multiple exit points for heat out the building

Balance point temperature

When heat loss from outside is equal to heat gain from inside

Low Balance point temperature

This means that you are less likely to turn on mechanical warming as the inside temperature starts to drop

Resistivity

The material’s ability to resist conductivity. How effective a material can resist heat transfer.
