Limiting reactant
The reactant in a chemical reaction that is consumed first, limiting the amount of product formed.
How to find the limiting reactant
Taken the given value and multiple by mol/mass
Mulitple by the mole ratio of given:product
Do this for all given values, the lowest of them is the limiting reactant
If the given value is already in moles just multiple by the mole ratio
How to find the amount of product formed
Find the limiting reactant
Multiply by the molar mass of product
How to find the amount of excess
Use the amount of product used from the excess factor
Put it into this formula: Initial value - amount used
